Senior Payments Specialist

We are currently looking for a Senior Payments Specialist to join a leading European producer of packaging products with advanced technology, modern production and logistics centers, and a strong growth track record.

Note: we are open also for candidates outside the Varna region who are open to spend certain days in Varna, and the rest - to work remote.

Summary

The Senior Payments Specialist to join our client’s Treasury function and support the efficient management of the Group's banking operations, cash management and payment processes.

The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Sales and Logistics teams, ensuring reliable treasury operations, strong banking relationships and effective support for the company's international business activities.

Reporting: to the Head of Payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Treasury Operations

• Monitor daily cash positions and maintain visibility over liquidity.

• Support short-term cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.

• Execute and control domestic and international payment processes.

• Ensure timely and accurate treasury operations across multiple banking platforms. Banking & Trade Finance

• Coordinate banking products, including letters of credit, bank guarantees and documentary collections.

• Maintain day-to-day relationships with banking partners.

• Support financing activities and banking documentation.

• Ensure compliance with internal treasury policies and banking procedures. Working Capital Management

• Monitor receivables and payables from a treasury perspective.

• Support initiatives aimed at improving working capital efficiency.

• Assist in cash optimisation and liquidity management.

• Contribute to financial risk mitigation through effective treasury controls. Reporting & Process Improvement

• Prepare treasury reports and cash management analyses.

• Support management with treasury-related financial information.

• Participate in treasury process optimisation and reporting improvements.

• Contribute to ERP enhancements, payment automation and finance digitalisation initiatives. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Coordinate treasury activities with Accounting, Procurement, Customer Service and Logistics teams.

• Ensure smooth execution of payment processes supporting commercial operations.

• Maintain accurate documentation of treasury transactions and banking instruments. Candidate Profile Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.

Professional Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in Treasury, Cash Management, Banking Operations, Corporate Finance or Payments.

• Previous experience in treasury operations and liquidity management.

• Experience working with banking instruments such as letters of credit, bank guarantees and trade finance products.

• Experience within an international or manufacturing environment would be considered an advantage.

• Familiarity with ERP systems and electronic banking platforms. Preferred Background
